Shopify Payments
Shopify Payments is the default option on all Shopify Plus stores and allows you the ability to accept credit cards and payments online without having to setup your own third-party merchant account. With Shopify Payments you can process credit cards online as well as get access to Shopify’s POS system to take credit card transactions in person. You can view your payment details, cross check them with order, view chargebacks all within your Shopify Plus dashboard. There is a list of supported countries and regions that you will want to review to see if Shopify Payments is available in your location. In addition to location, you will want to review the list of supported businesses to see if your company qualifies for Shopify Payments. There are many more types of businesses that aren’t allowed, this is just a sample of the types of companies prohibited from using Shopify Payments.
Shopify Pay
Shopify Pay allows your customers to save their shipping, billing and credit card information and quickly move through the checkout process. This is a huge time saver and most stores see an immediate conversion lift as the friction in the checkout process is reduced. It’s important to note that that for your store to enable Shopify Pay, you must already be utilizing Shopify Payments.
Shopify Pay is an accelerated checkout method that you can enable directly from your Shopify dashboard. Apple Pay, Google Pay and Amazon Pay are additional accelerated checkout methods that you can enable on your store.
